dc.description.abstractKolom-kolom struktur yang dibangun sebelum Code-Code kegempaan diterapkan berpotensi mengalami keruntuhan saat gempa terjadi. Untuk meningkatkan kinerja elemen dan menghindari resiko keruntuhan dan kehilangan investasi maka diperlukan tindakan perkuatan. Tulisan ini mengevaluasi perilaku dan kinerja kolom yang diperkuat wire rope saja dan kombinasi wire rope dan wire mesh. Benda uji berupa kolom kantilever yang diuji dengan pola quasi statik dan beban aksial konstan. Hasil uji mununjukkan bahwa kolom yang diperkuat wire rope saja dan kombinasi wire rope dan satu lapis wire mesh tidak memberikan banyak peningkatan kekuatan dan kekakuan kolom akan tetapi daktilitas yang yang dihasilkan signifikan yakni sebesar 2,1 dan 2,77 kali terhadap kolom kontrol. Perkuatan kombinasi wire rope dan wire mesh juga efektif mereduksi dan mencegah formasi retak diagonal dan mampu merubah keruntuan geser menjadi keruntuhan daktail sehingga perilaku seismik kolom menjadi lebih baik.in_ID
