Lightening The Learning Climate: Efforts In Making Fun Learning
Abstract
Healthy academic atmosphere will create an environment conducive learning and fun
for students. The existence of a conducive learning environment and fun is one capital for the creation
of a comfortable atmosphere for learning, so that students become "like" / "krasan" on campus to
carry out academic activities. Healthy academic atmosphere is one of them attempted to "Revive of
Learning" (Lightening the Learning Climate). It is important to talk about, because there are several
phenomena that show some of the students do not feel at home in college, came lecture fitting with
check-in time, often late, finished college straight home, entered the library is not a requirement, and
the learning process a routine, not the focus.
Efforts to revive the atmosphere of learning (Linghtening the Learning Climate) to create a
comfortable and enjoyable learning really needs to be done by the entire academic community of
campus. Faculty, students, administrators, employees of library, laboratory employees, all the leaders,
and even cleaning service, must have the mindset and attitude patterns of mutual support for the
creation of a learning atmosphere that is comfortable and enjoyable. Lecturers have perfomance
intellect and friends with regard to the normative aspects, students try to be proactive and develop
cooperation, employees had a friendly attitude and nimble, the leadership has policies that support the
learning environment comfortable and pleasant, janitor able to create clean and comfortable
atmosphere, and the parking attendant able to maintain the security and safety of student vehicles.
Special for lecturers to create an atmosphere of learning to create learning comfortable and pleasant,
besides being intelligent, hospitable, and friendly to students with regard to normative aspects that
apply, teachers should understand the character of students, formulate a model of the lecture, methods
lectures, strategy lectures, and learning resources together students at the first meeting of the lecture.
Lecturers must create learning that gives students the opportunity to develop their potential,
intellectual potential, the potential moral and social potential, using technology as a source of learning
and learning support facilities. To student-centered learning (student center), and collaborated with
technology as a means of support and a source of learning, is the right choice for lecturers to make
learning more convenient, enjoyable, and progressive.
