dc.description.abstractPola pengembangan guru telah mengalami beberapa kali perubahan model. Dari Competency-based Teacher Education (CBTE), menuju Performance-Based teacher Education (PBTE), dan School-based Teacher Education (SBTE). Ke depan tampaknya menyatu antara professional development dengan pengembangan karir guru. Pada tahun 1970-1980-an, zaman CBTE, kita mengenal 10 kompetensi guru yang dilatihkan kepada para calon guru di LPTK. SBTE dipandang memiliki kekurangan karena para calon guru tidak praktik mengajar. Oleh karenanya, program tersebut diperbaiki dengan PBTE di mana para calon guru praktik mengajar meskipun dalam micro-teaching. PBTE kemudian diperbaiki dengan adanya praktik mengajar secara langsung di sekolah melalui SBTE. Kualifikasi guru juga ditingkatkan dari jenjang D-II, ke jenjang S-1, dan jenjang PPG. Untuk menyongsong Era Revolusi Industri 4.0, pendidikan guru perlu memperhatikan KKNI, Pendidikan Abad 21, dan TPACK.id_ID
