EFEKTIVITAS BRAIN GYM DALAM MENURUNKAN KECEMASAN SISWA MENGHADAPI UJIAN SEKOLAH
Abstract
School examination is conducted to determine changes of student behavior after receiving
lessons. Nevertheless, most of students find that the test causes anxiety. Anxiety is not only somatic,
but also psychosomatic. Furthermore, a training to reduce anxiety is needed, such as Brain Gym. The
aim of the study was to determine the effectiveness of Brain Gym in reducing students’ anxiety when
facing the exam. The hypothesis was Brain Gym is effective in lowering students’ anxiety when facing
exam. Respondent of this study were students of SD Serengan 1 No. 70. The sampling technique used
was purposive non-random sampling. The data were analized through Mann Whitney U Test. The result
of the research showed that Brain Gym training was very effective in reducing students’ anxiety when
facing exam.
