dc.description.abstractThis research aims to identify and describe the improvement reasoning and learning outcomes of students in learning mathematics with problem solving learning strategy. This research is a class act or Classroom Action Research (CAR). Research subjects who are acted the students of Class XI KC.2 SMK Negeri 4 Surakarta totaling 30 students, while the object of research is mathematical reasoning and learning outcomes of students. Method of data collection through observation, testing, documentation, and field notes. The data analysis technique in descriptive qualitative flow models. The validity of data using triangulation technique is triangulation of sources and methods. Based on these results, obtained: 1) Increase student mathematical reasoning can be seen from the increasing indicators that include, among others: a) The Ability to think logically before action by 30%, increased to 63,33% in first round and the second round increased to 76,67%, b) The ability to think critically before action 26.67%, increased to 56,67% in first round, and the second round increased to 70%, c) The ability to draw conclusions before the action by 20%, increased to 46,67 % in first round and the second round increased to 63,33%, 2) increase students' mathematics learning outcomes that can be seen from the results of the written test that meets the value of ≥ 75 prior to action by 43.33%, increased to 63,33% in first round and second round increased to 80%. This research concluded that the learning strategies of problem solving in mathematics learning can improve reasoning and learning outcomes of students.en_US
