Efektivitas Brain Gym dalam Meningkatkan Konsentrasi Belajar pada Anak
Abstract
The aim of this study id to determine the effectiveness of Brain Gym in increasing the concentration of learning in children. Children often have to wrestle with learning agenda not only while in the school environment but also at home. By forcing the brain to work very hard there will be an imbalance in the brain between the right brain and left brain, also can cause fatigue in the brain so that the concentration in children’s learning to be declining. Subjects in this study were fourth grade students of public elementary school SerenganI, No.70 Surakarta, who was 10 years old. To take the sample in this research Cluster Random Sampling is used with as many as 76 people (37 people for the try out and 39 people for research).
The measurement
of this study is using a concentration
test
of children.
The data were
analyzed by using a statistical non parametric Mann Whitney U Test.
Obtained
a value of U = 80.000 p = 0.002 (p <0.05). The average value of concentration gain score

subjects in the experimental group
amounted to 25.50 while the average value gain score
subjects
in the control
group
at 14:21. The average value can be interpreted
that there
are
differences
or
the average difference
in the value of the experimental group
with the control
group.
It means
giving
Brain Gym is very effective in increasing
the concentration of learning in children.
