Pengembangan model pendidikan Kewarganegaraan di SMP berbasis kearifan lokal sebagai strategi revitalisasi nilai-nilai Pancasila untuk penguatan karakter dan jati diri bangsa. Surakarta. Penelitian Hibah Bersaing. Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta, tahun 2013. Penelitian pengembangan ini dilakukan selama dua tahap dalam waktu dua tahun. Tujuan umum penelitian adalah menemukan dan mengembangkan model pembelajaran PKn di SMP berbasis kearifan lokal sebagai strategi revitalisasi nilai-nilai Pancasila untuk menguatkan karakter dan jati diri bangsa. Kemudian tujuan khusus penelitian tahun ke -1 adalah (1) mendeskripsikan profil guru pendidikan kewarganegaraan di SMP Surakarta, (2) mendeskripsikan pemahaman guru SMP di Surakarta tentang Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan, (3) mendeskripsikan pembelajaran PKn di SMP dalam penguatan karakter dan jati diri bangsa yang saat ini dilaksanakan, dan (4) menemukan draf model pembelajaran PKn berbasis kearifan lokal sebagai strategi revitalisasi nilai-nilai Pancasila untuk penguatan karakter dan jati diri bangsa (tentatif). Untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut di atas maka penelitian ini dilakukan tahapantahapan selama dua tahap. Penelitian tahun pertama merupakan penelitian kualitatif. Data dikumpulkan melalui teknik wawancara, metode simak, dan observasi. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan metode interaktif. Fokus permasalahan yang dikaji dan perencanaan draf model menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan menempuh alur pelaksanaan sebagai berikut: (1) studi literatur, dilakukan untuk mengumpulkan bahan-bahan pendukung yang berkaitan dengan model pembelajaran PKn, (2) pengumpulan data lapangan dan triangulasi data dilakukan untuk mendiskripsikan model pembelajaran PKn di SMP yang saat ini dilaksanakan, (3) analisis SWOT untuk menyusun draf model, dan (4) perumusan desain model (tentatif) melalui lokakarya partisipatif-kolaboratif. Dari hasil penelitian disimpulkan sebagai berikut. (1) Profil Guru PKn di SMP Surakarta berlatar belakang pendidikan PKn dan telah memiliki pengalaman mengajar cukup lama. (2) Para guru PKn juga memiliki pengalaman dalam kegiatan ilmiah baik di tingkat lokal maupun nasional sehingga pemahaman guru PKn SMP di Surakarta tentang hakikat dan tujuan Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan cukup bagus. (3) Untuk pengembangan pembelajaran PKn yang powerfull perlu dilakukan revisi terhadap materi PKn, terutama berkaitan dengan (a) integrasi nilai-nilai budaya lokal, (b) strategi dan metode pembelajaran yang mendukung penguasaan kompetensi PKn dan pendidikan nilai. (4) Pembelajaran pendidikan Kewarganegaraan di SMP Surakarta selama ini sudah melibatkan partisipasi peserta didik tetapi guru masih dominan karena materi yang tidak seimbang dengan alokasi waktu pembelajaran. (5) Berdasar analisis SWOT, dikembangkan draf model PKn di SMP berbasis kearifan lokal sebagai strategi revitalisasi nilai-nilai Pancasila untuk penguatan karakter dan jati diri bangsa dengan didasari oleh (a) integrasi kearifan lokal budaya jawa yang bersumber dari core value hormat, rukun, dan tolong menolong sebagai strategi revitalisasi nilai-nilai Pancasila dan nilai karakter, (b) untuk mempersiapkan peserta didik sebagai warga negara yang cerdas dan baik, pembelajaran PKn dilakukan dengan belajar sambil berbuat, belajar memecahkan masalah sosial, belajar melalui perlibatan sosial, dan belajar melalui pembiasaan serta interaksi sosial-kultural, (c) implementasi draf model dilakukan dengan pendekatan pembelajaran problem based learning, project based learning, dan klarifikasi nilai.in_ID
