    Terjemahan Unsur Subjek Bahasa Inggris ke Bahasa Indonesia dan Terapannya dalam Pengajaran Translation

    Abstract
    This descriptive qualitative research aims at describing the type translation shift of subject of English sentence into Indonesian in The Hunger Games and the application in teaching translation. The data are all English and Indonesian sentences consisting of translation shifts and information related to the application of research finding in teaching translation. The data sources are English and Indonesion novels of The Hunger Games (HG) and the data are analyzed using translation shift theory of Catford, translation quality theory of Nababan, and Spreadly’s theory of domain, taxsonomy, componensial, and cultural theme analyses. The findings show that (1) English subjects found in the novel that consisting of noun, pronoun, and noun phrase are translated using category shift, intra-system shift, level shift, and structural shift.
