    Abstract
    Dementia is a severe cognitive decline that interferes daily life and social activities. Cognitive decline on dementia usually begins with the deterioration of memory. Results of preliminary survey showed that 40% of them can take a bath, urinate, and do bowel movement independently. The purpose of this research was to find out about dementia with ADL (Activity of Daily Living) fulfillment capability on the elderly in Kalirejo Village Lawang Public Health Center, Regency of Malang. This study used correlation-population design for all elderly who experience dementia. The sample was 22 elderly people, by using total sampling technique. Data was collected using questionnaire and observation and the analysis was conducted using Spearman’s rho formula. The research showed that there was a significant correlation between dementia and ADL (Activity of Daily Living) fulfillment capability on the elderly in Kalirejo Village, Lawang Public Health Center, Regency of Malang with significance value of 0.44 (level of significance 0.05). Based on that research, it is expected that the corresponding health personnel can give some education to the family and thye elderly for early screening of chronical or acute disease, physical or psychological disease, and modality therapy.
