    Abstract
    Menstruation is estimated to occur each month during the reproductive years, beginning at puberty (menarche) and ends at menopause except during pregnancy. As a female, puberty is a sign of young female reproductive organshas began.This study aims to determine the relationship of knowledge of teenage girl about menstruation Hygienic behavior during menstruation. The study design was cross-sectional with a student population of young women who have experienced periods with a large sample of 45 respondents. Data analysis using Chi-Square analysis techniques univariate, bivariate and multivariate analyzes to determine the dominant factors that influence Hygienic behavior during menstruation. Related variables that proved statistically significant (p <0.05) to conduct hygiene during menstruation is the job of parents, knowledge of young girls about menstruation,variables that were not statistically significantly related to hygiene behavior are age, income, availability of Cleansing facilities . Analisis tool multivariate regression model is the most influential variable Odds Ratio knowledge with the greatest value of 2.963.Good knowledge of menstruation has 2,963 times greater opportunities to support hygienic behavior during menstruation compared with less knowledge . Necessary efforts to maintain and improve hygiene behavior during menstruation through increased knowledge about reproductive health that is appropriate in order to inform each other among friends ,as well as communication between teachers,health workers and parents of the students,and the student is further enhanced.
