Background: Diarrhea close relationship with personal and environmental hygiene are poor. The spread of diarrheal diseases in general through food or water that has been contaminated. Formula feeding with a bottle that is not in accordance with procedures increase the risk of diarrhea because germs and moniliasis mouth increased, as a result of the water supply and poor sterilization. The high incidence of diarrhea affecting children's growth, which in turn can reduce the quality of life of children. Objective: To determine the relationship between formula feeding with the incidence of diarrhea in children aged 1-3 years. Methods: This study uses correlation with Retrospective approach. Meode sampling with purposive sampling, a total of 15 respondents. Bivariate analysis using Kendall Tau test. Result: 73.3% categorized enough formula feeding, formula feeding 20.0% categorized as good, 6.7% less categorized formula feeding. Categorized incidence of diarrhea was 66.7%,
20.0% categorized less, 13.3% categorized as often. Correlation of test results obtained count value r = 0.643 to P = 0.023 (p <0.05).Conclusions: There is a formula feeding relationship
with the incidence of diarrhea in children aged 1-3 years.
