REPRESENTASI KUASA LAKI-LAKI DALAM LIRIK LAGU TARLING CIREBONAN

Abstract

Men asked to become a superior creature of God's creation than women. This is clearly expressed in some texts of scripture divine religions. This study examines the qualitative descriptive representation of male authority in the lyrics Tarling Cirebon. Through a semiotic approach Barthes (1972) note that the power of men over women in the lyrics Tarling Cirebonan represented through metaphors such as lanange jagat, Arjuna Ireng and dewa asmara.
