Meningkatkan Engagement Siswa Sebagai Upaya Untuk Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar

Abstract

This article aims to explore the some factors that can improve student’s engagement. Engagement is very important to the students in order to increase their achievement. Engagement is a positive, fulfilling, work-related state of mind that is characterized by vigor, dedication, and absorption. The collecting data in this study is a literature review. Some researchers have conducted a deep research in improving person’s engagement. Based on previous studies, there are internal and external factors that influence student engagement. The internal factors such as motivation, happiness, and the other internal factors have strong relationship with student’s engagement. The external factors such as the classroom condition, the teaching method of their teachers, the relationship with peers, and the other external factors also have high influence in engagement. Some studies posit students that have high engagement, they also have high achievement.
