Abstract
Children are human resources assets and future generations that are needed to be considered
life. The balance of nutrient intake greatly affects the growth and the development of children.
Many aspects influence the nutritional status among other are aspects of food patterns, aspects
of the culture, and the influence of food consumption. The 1-5 years age children are belonging

100 childrens. Data collection the suitability of complementary food, consumption of energy
and protein gained in the interview. This determination of the nutritional status of children
using indicators IMT / U was done by measuring weight and height. Analysis of the data used
the Pearson-product moment and Chi-Square. The result at statistical analysis using Pearson
Product Moment-obtained value of P = 0240 (P> 0.05) to the level of energy consumption
with nutritional status and the value of P = 0264 (P> 0.05) to the level of protein intake and
nutritional status. Statistical analysis used Chi-Square was obtained P = 0.340 (P> 0.05). The
conclusion is there is no significant correlation between the level of consumption of energy,
protein and the suitability of complementary food with children nutritional status.
