ISO 9000 dengan Total Quality Management (TQM): Mana yang Lebih Tepat Diadopsi?
Abstract
Many hard-working companies gain competitive advantage by improving the quality of goods or
services to compete in the global marketplace. There are two quality management systems that
concern most business in the world, namely: ISO 9000 International Quality Management and Total
Quality Management (TQM). The literature, which is a literature study, aims to find out the
privileges about ISO 9000 and TQM so companies need to adopt them. In general, ISO 9000 and
TQM have the same goal of customer satisfaction to improve the competitiveness of the company. The
relationship of ISO 9000 and TQM is complementary meaning that ISO 9000 with TQM is a unity
that can be used as company guideline in implementing quality improvement of organization, so that
both important to be adopted by a company.
