Apakah Konten Facebook Pelamar Berpengaruh Terhadap Keputusan Rekrutmen?
Abstract
This is an experimental research with purpose to know the effect of applicant’s
facebook content to recruitment decisions made by job recruiters. In this research there
are three variables namely facebook content, gender recruiters, and recruitment
decisions where the facebook content itself is divided into two ie professional and nonprofessional
content. The population of this research are employees and business
owners who have graduated from bachelor’s degree and have a facebook account. Data
taken by purposive sampling with a sample of 40 people and be tested using the nonparametric
Kruskal-Wallis test. Results show that the applicant's facebook content
influences the recruitment decisions made by job recruiters. This is indicated by the
difference of choice from the first phase to third phase where the applicant who qualify
have more percentage of professional content on his or her facebook account compared
to applicants who do not qualify. Other results showed that there is no difference in the
selection of candidates between male recruiter and women recruiter. This research can
be concluded that the first hypothesis is accepted but the second hypothesis is rejected.
