dc.description.abstract | During this time civil engineers design horizontally curved reinforced beam in field using straight beams
approach. The design codes of horizontally curved reinforced concrete beam didn’t exist in SK SNI T-15-1991-03 and
ACI but there is code about horizontally curved steel i.e AASHTO Guide Specifications for Horizontally Curved Highway
Bridges (1980). This research follows up the research that has been done by Hsu (1974) about intersection structure
between straight spandrel and floor beam. The speciment which were used in this research were straight spandrel beam
and spandrel beam with horizontally curvature 3,3147 m (curved8 spandrel beam) and 4,80695 m (curved12 spandrel
beam) and 1 every speciment. Loading was done on floor beam statically with increment 1 kN gradually. The support on
spandrel beam is hinge but torsionally fixed and on floor beam is hinge too. To investigate behavior of spandrel beam
speciments hence LVDT, inclinometer, strain gauge are installed. The results of research are displacement on first crack
load higher if spandrel beams are curved. Displacement on quarter span are displacement curved8 spandrel beam >
curved12 > straight. Tension bending reinforcement are yield. | en_US |
