MODEL PEMBELAJARAN “BERKAT ANANG” (BERKARAKTER, AKTIF, DAN MENYENANGKAN) UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KUALITAS PEMBELAJARAN IPS BAGI SEKOLAH DASAR YANG HUMANIS DAN BERKARAKTER
Abstract
The learning of social science tends to use the monolitic approach, and top down
method. It is also too theoritical. The students tends to be ”textbookish” that the
learning process is not in accordance with their experiences. The impact of this
condition is that the learning of social science only gives a little contribution
towards the development of the individual and the democratic society. The
learning of social science should be the main instrument to strengthen the
character of Indonesians without negelcting the active and fun learning method.
The research is aimed to know the improvement of learning quality of social
science in some primary schools that were the partners for this research by
applying the learning method “Berkat Anang”, which is the abbreviation of
characher, active, and fun.
The method used in this research was the descriptive qualitative, and the strategy
used was the single case study. The data were collected by using the direct
observation, open informal and in-depth interview, and open questionnaire given
to the teachers, students, and the headmasters of SDN Kleco 2, SDN Pajang 3,
and SDN Tunggulsari 1.
The result of the research proves that the learning method of “Berkat Anang” is
fun and is able to develop the students’ character and improve students’
participation.
