ANALISIS GAP PADA KOLABORASI DESAIN BERBASIS WEB SERTA KANSEI ENGINEERING DAN KONSEP MANUAL
Abstract
One-directional design process results on designs that could not satisfy the
customers. The existing methods, such as Kansei Engineering, Web-based Collaboration,
Kano Model, and QFD (Quality Function Deployment) have been occupied without
confirmation from the customers about the performance of the product. This study is
aimed to examine a design using various methods and integrate those methods into a new
design method, and then to discover the of all methods.
The object examined in this study was the product design of flash disk case.
Integration of the design method was conducted in series, started from Kansei
Engineering Method (M.I). The result from the first method was then became the input of
Web-based Collaboration Method (M.II), while the result from M.II was the input for
Kano Model integrated into QFD Method (M.III). In the last method, the position of the
product compared with the competitors, which were Kingston and Adata flash disk, will
also be considered. The design process using M.I, M.II, and M.III would obtain
integrated method of M.IV, that was expected to result an appropriate design concept for
the customers.
The integration of M.I, M.II, M.III and M.IV methods indicated that from the
two-directional design method, customers prefer the flash disk case with rectangular
shape, made from rubber, large size, with stripe, and silver colour. There are 4 design
concept have been developed using web collaboration system, and it took 2 days to
decide the most suitable design. Compared to the competitors, the designed product
showed better customers satisfactory. It was proven by 5 advantages of product attributes,
which were capacity, durability, design innovation, accessories, and fashionable casing.
From the position point of view, the product showed a balance with the competitors. The
result of comparing methods, knows gap on methods are characteristic, media and distribution design rule. By integration of those methods, the appropriate design could be
obtained in a shorter time.
