PENGARUH INTELLECTUAL CAPITAL TERHADAP KINERJA INDIVIDUAL KARYAWAN STUDI EMPIRIK PADA BUMD DI SURAKARTA
Abstract
ABSTRACT
This research aim is to analyze the relationship of intellectual capital with employee
performance. Intellectual capital is knowledge material, experience and intellectual
property rights which has been use to increase wealth. This method is a tool to measure
the effects of intangible asset such as knowledge in the organization. Intellectual capital
come from three sources, they are human capital, customer capital and structural capital.
In this research, they play as the main variables. The setting of this research is BUMD
employee in Surakarta. This research uses purposive sampling methods. The
characteristic of the respondent is they has been serve in the organization more than 1
year. The respond rate of this research is only 40 percent. This low respond rate makes
the analyses lack of respondent’s perception variation. The measurement uses in this
research is intellectual capital measurement developed by Bontis, Keow and Richardson
(2000). The employee performance measurement is the instrument developed by Chen
(2004). The main finding in this research is that human structural have a positive effect
to the customer and structural capital. Unfortunately, the result shows that in this setting,
intellectual capital does not have a significant effect to the employee performance. The
Intellectual capital model proposed by Bontis et al failed to predict the effect of knowledge
in the state owned enterprise.
