This paper is based on data compiled of implementation Iptekda LIPI in 2012 until
the first period (February to June 2012) who has been done some coaching and mentoring
activities of business partners manufacturer of E-GIZZI fresh dairy products processed in
UMKM Mulia Jaya Mandiri Sukoharjo. Based on a pre-existing problem, the production
process of dairy products in UMKM Mulia Jaya Mandiri is very simple, as issues 1) The form
is very simple packaging, induce to market segmentation is still very limited. 2) Technology
manufacturing process is very simple, making the quality and production capacity of processed
milk pasteurization-fermentation is very limited. In the first of Iptekda LIPI activity, has been
made the introduction and utilization activities sachet packaging machine and guidance design
packaging dairy products, originally a dairy product packaging pigtail become a much more
attractive . This is evidenced by an increase in production capacity and consumer acceptance
was limited to elementary school students, a more broad and general of consumers. Indicators
of this development proves that the introduction of technology has been provided by the Iptekda
LIPI UMS team. Stages coaching the dairy production business in UMKM Mulia Jaya Mandiri
Sukoharjo, should be continued for the purpose of improving the quality of dairy products
that meet the standards suggested by BPOM RI and developing marketing network. If dairy
products have earned the product registration of BPOM RI, and the products can be circulated
through the store, minimarket and a self-service, is expected to be an increase in turnover
and welfare of UMKM partners and providing welfare impacts for workers and communities.
