Pelaksanaan Pendidikan Karakter Disiplin dan Tanggung Jawab melalui Moving Class di SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Surakarta Tahun Pelajaran 2012/2013
Abstract
This study aims to determine the implementation of character education
of discipline and responsibility through moving class Muhammadiyah Senior
High School 2 Surakarta Academic Year 2012/2013. The shape of this research
is descriptive qualitative. The research strategy is a single case study with the
subjects are the principal, teachers and students at Senior High School
Muhammadiyah 2 Surakarta academic year 2012/2013. The data was
collected using systematic observation method, structured interviews and
documentation. To test the validity of the data is by means of triangulation of
data collection techniques and triangulation of data sources. Data analysis
was performed using an interactive model of data analysis. These results
indicate that: (1) The implementation of character education of discipline
and responsibility through moving class in Muhammadiyah Senior High
School 2 Surakarta basically they are often experienced and perceived by
teachers and students, ranging from small to large, for example discipline of
vehicles parking and queuing to pay tuition. Parking the vehicle is held
regularly every day by teachers and students. Students are taught to be
discipline in vehicle parking in order to foster attitudes and behaviors
independently, discipline, tolerance, social care, neatness and beauty, while
queuing to pay tuition aims to foster self-discipline, tolerance, independence,
responsibility and cultivate queued in school. (2) the constraint in implementing
character education of discipline and responsibility through moving class in
Muhammadiyah Senior High School 2 Surakarta is divergency of students
character, moving class is a new program. (3) the solution to overcome the
constraints of implementation character education of discipline and
responsibility through moving class in Muhammadiyah Senior High School
2 Surakarta is to provide guidance, cultivate an attitude of discipline and
responsibility both individually and collectively in each activity, and provide
penalties for students who lack of discipline.
