PARIWISATA DAN PERUBAHAN NILAI-NILAI SOSIAL BUDAYA BERDASARKAN LINGKUNGAN TRADISI PADA MASYARAKAT BALI

Abstract

This research aims at studying the understanding, commitment and implementation of the social and cultural values by the Balinese, both Aga and Daratan. The data-collecting methods include in-depth interview, participant observation, and documents. The data-analyzing technique is interactive analysis model. The result of the research shows that both Aga and Daratan Balinese indicate high awareness of their commitment and implementation of social and cultural values in a series of dynamic, repeated, and sustainable activities in order to preserve their culture. The activities are based on the concept of Tri Hita Karana, Rwa Bhineda, Desa Kala Patra, Tri Angga, and Asta Kosala-Kosali. Tourism has resulted in the changing functions of dwelling patterns from religious to economic function. However, the changes are confined to physical appearance rather than the deep structure of dwelling patterns.
