This study ams to analyze and examine the influence among the variables
studied in this research, including knowledge sharing, individual competence, and
student performance assessed through IPK. This research uses descriptive
quantitative approach using explanatory research with quantitative approach.
Population used in this research is all student of Surabaya Shipbuilding State
Polytechnic (PPNS) with purposive sampling technique to get sample with number
108 people. Technique of colleting data is done by media of questioner and
documentation. The collected data will be analyzed using descriptive statistical
analysis and inferential statistic consisting of path analysis and t test. Based on the
results of path analysis showed that knowledge sharing variables directly and
significantly affect individual competence variables, with a beta coefficient of 0,397
and significance of 0,000. The indirect effect of knowledge sharing on student’s
GPA through individual competence is 0,130 or 13.0%.
