The Effect of Using Project Based Learning Towards The Collaborative Ability and Creative Thinking Skill of Class IV Students

The objectives of this research were to analize the effect of using Project Based Learning towards the class
IV students' collaborating of Elementary school Tema Cita-citaku and to analize the effect of Project Based
Lerning towards the creative thinking skill of class IV students of Elementary School Tema Cita-citaku.
The subject of this research were class IV D students' of Al-Hikmah Surabaya as a control class and class
IV F Al-hikmah Surabaya as an experimental class. This research was conducted at the second semester
in academic year 2017/2018. This research used Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. The result of the
research were as follows: There was no difference of students' collaborative skill between the experimental
class and control class in pre-test. It can be referred by score of thitung (0.699) ˂ ttabel (1.686). Whereas
the students ability of collaborating in post-test, there was a difference with control class. It can be referred
by score of thitung (6.747) ˃ ttabel (1.686). Thus, there was an effect of using Project Based Learning
towards the students’ collaborative skill. Then, the second hypothesis testing referred that the students'
creative thinking skill in post-test, there was no difference with the control class. It can be referred by
score of thitung (0.086) ˂ ttabel (1.686. Whereas the result of students' creative thinking skill in post- test,
there was a difference between experimental class and control class. It can be referred by score of thitung
(17.556) ˃ ttabel (1.686). Thus, there was an effect of using Project Based Learning towards students'
creative thinking skill. Based on the data analysis, it can be inferred that the use of Project Based Learning
has an effect towards the collaborative and creative thinking skill students of class IV of Elementary School
Theme of My Ideals significantly.
