    The Effect of Science Technology and Society Model on Social Problem Solving Skill and Student Learning Outcome of The Fourth Grade Students

    Abstract
    This research aimed to analyze the effect of science technology and society model on the social problem solving skill and student learning outcome of fourth grade students. This research was experimental research with pretest-posttest control group design. The dependent variable in this research was science technology and society model while the independent variable was social problem solving skill and student learning outcome. Subjects of this study were students in grade IVA and IVB of SDN Bulutengger, Sekaran, Lamongan respectively 20 students. The techniques for collecting data in this research were tests (pretestpostest), interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis technique used descriptive statistical analysis technique. Calculation on data analysis was carried out with the assistance of computer software program SPSS 17. The results showed that the science technology and society model had an effect on the social problem solving skill and student learning outcome in social science learning. Science technology and society model had an effect on social problem solving skill shown by t test – 4.459 < t 1.686. The science technology and society model affected student learning outcome as shown by t 1.686 and Sig. 2-tailed value by 0.006 < α (0.05). This means that the science technology and society model has a significant effect on social problem solving skill and student learning outcome on social science learning. test table 2.916 > t table
